WARWICK COUNCIL gave the scheme on a 29-acre site north-east of Baginton village, with direct access to the A45 and A46, the go ahead earlier this week.
First reported by Logistics Matters in October last year the proposals for SEGRO Park Whitley South envisage a 12-unit small to midbox development in nine buildings ranging from 12,560 ft2 to 79,490 ft2. Units 1 to 7 are stand-alone units, units 8 and 9 are semi-detached and units 10 to 12 are combined into one building, which is internally sub-divided.
Eaves heights range from 6.65m clear height to 12.5m with office space from 4.9% to 12% with individual yards from 25 – 50m with dock and level access doors. The buildings will be built carbon net zero and target BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A+ rating.
The Site’s western boundary is formed by an area of Community Park, known as the ‘Baginton Loops’. Pedestrian access to Baginton Loops will be provided to enable visitors and employees at the scheme to take advantage of this open space. The Site will be landscaped to filter views and provide habitat creation and amenity space.
