Single warehouse planned for Symmetry Park Merseyside
Developer Tritax Symmetry has put in plans for a single warehouse on Phase 2 of its 1 million ft2 Symmetry Park Merseyside scheme in the Northwest.

THE COMPANY was originally planning on building two warehouses totalling 365,40 ft2 but has now decided to build a single unit of 272,091 ft2 on the 13.2 acre plot at the former Cronton Colliery site in Huyton.
The facility will comprise 254,420 ft2 of warehouse space with two storey offices of 13,014 ft2 as well as a 3,000 ft2 transport office and gatehouse. It will have 18m eaves and have 25 dock ( with 10 Euro dock) and four level access doors (one jumbo door) as well as 38 HGV and 244 car parking spaces.
The building will target BREEAM Very Good with a route to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification progressed further during detailed design. It will be built net zero carbon in construction.
Subject to planning works are expected to commence in 2024.
