Instead of a chain, it employs autonomous mobile robots that travel independently along a system of intersecting rails to reach their destinations. The sensor-driven carriers independently determine the optimal route to avoid traffic jams and idle times.

Unlike conventional pocket sorters, the SmartPocket is not geared solely toward handling peak loads, but rather exhibits high flexibility and a compelling ability to evolve alongside the user’s business developments.
