Posted on Wednesday 14 July 2021

HANDLING & STORAGE solutions is launching two events for the end of the year. HSS Live is a virtual conference set for October 6 and the Tomorrow’s Warehouse Event will take place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on November 30.

Both events take as a given that the logistics industry is in a moment of strong growth and pivotal change. The range of challenges are too numerous to list but both events will endeavour to cover as many points of interest as possible. Indeed, the agendas for both events are beginning to fill up wth interesting speakers.

These include Clare Bottle, new chief executive of the UKWA, who will talk about the importance of attracting and nurturing talent; Joe Metcalfe of consultancy Hatmill who will tackle issues around warehouse automation implementations; and Matthew Groves, warehouse project manager, at Charles Trent who will discuss how he led a warehouse revamp to help his company digitalise its business model and push for rapid growth.

There are many more speakers confirmed for the events, please follow the links at the end of the article to see the event agendas.

Handling & Storage solutions editor Simon Duddy said: “We are living through a time of unprecedented change. The rise of eCommerce has long driven disruption in warehousing and logistics, and events such as the pandemic and Brexit have only accelerated or complicated this new reality. The events we have launched will give warehouse professionals an opportunity to come together to learn from each other and from expert speakers, with a view to evolving positive outcomes for their operations.”

Speaking about the Tomorrow’s Warehouse Event at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, Simon Duddy continued: “While we are not out of the woods in terms of the pandemic, vaccinations have crossed the threshold of 50% of the population, including the most vulnerable people in society and are continuing at pace. That means we are confident that a small scale physical event can take place safely and securely at the end of the year. We hope you can join us.”

If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities at either event, please contact Angela Lyus ([email protected] / 01342 333 725) for details.

Registration for both events is now open.
