Uniserve plans Liverpool megashed
Private logistics provider Uniserve is planning a 947,000 ft2 mega shed on the former Prinovis printworks site in Liverpool in the North west which it acquired last year.
THE COMPANY is looking for multi distribution centres in key strategic sites around the UK as part of expansion plans through its parent company GB Europe. The site in Speke will service group business demand.
The 49.58 acre site will accommodate a single cross docked facility of 946,870 ft2 incorporating 31,054 ft2 of two storey offices, a 901,607 ft2 warehouse as well as two transport offices of 6,308 ft2 and a gatehouse.
The property will have 21m eaves, 118 dock and 12 level access doors as well as 55m yards to both sides and parking for 238 HGVs and 600 cars. The scheme will target BREEAM Excellent and an EPC A+ rating with the warehouse roof being 100% PV ready.
The application also covers the demolition the 627,200 sq ft former print works factory estate to make way for the development, which has an estimated gross development value of £96m.
