Urgently needed scheme promoted

THE SCHEME known as Thrive covers a total of 300-acres close to Junction 9 of the M42 motorway and is currently subject to a second public consultation.
The employment park will cater for R&D start-ups, advanced manufacturers and logistics businesses.
IM Properties said: “With only an estimated one year’s supply of strategic employment land remaining along the M42 corridor there is an urgent need for sites that can support the growth of current businesses and attract future investors to the region.”
Thrive would provide dedicated zones for entrepreneurial, high technology start-up businesses, leading advanced manufacturers and high value logistics companies, within a landscaped parkland setting.
IM Properties development director Lewis Payne, said: “The West Midlands is currently missing out on opportunities to attract high value businesses due to a lack of strategic sites.
The proposed site layout will include high quality sustainable buildings designed with the onus being put on building and landscape design, biodiversity, highways improvements, active travel and a commitment to social value.
With nearly half the site dedicated to green infrastructure, sustainability is incorporated into every aspect. A central green corridor will lead to a mobility hub, offering eco-friendly transport options such as buses, bicycles, e-scooters, and smart EV charging stations.
