Whistl pre-lets Wigan warehouse
E-commerce logistics specialist Whistl has pre-let a 140,000 ft2 warehouse at developer PLP’ 360,000 ft2 PLP Astley scheme in Wigan, Greater Manchester.

THE 3PL has signed a 15-year lease at £10.25 per ft2 for Unit 2, which consists 131,848 ft2 of warehouse space as well as 8,523 ft2 of Grade A offices. The warehouse has 15m eaves, 16 dock and two level access doors served by a 55m yard. There are 35 HGV and 141 car parking spaces
The four-unit scheme comprises of buildings from 35,000 sq ft to 145,000 sq ft, and is targeting BREEAM Excellent, EPC A and Carbon Neutrality in line with CarbonNeutral® Development Certification. The scheme will be a Carbon Net Zero development with EV charging, PV panels, smart meters and energy efficient measures to provide future occupiers with the opportunity of Net Zero operations.
PLP acquired the 19-acre prime urban logistics development site from regeneration specialists Peel Waters earlier this year.
