XPO doubles French automotive warehouse space
XPO Logistics has more than doubled its dedicated warehouse capacity for a major French car manufacturer in under a year, now operating 92,000 sq m across three sites in France to handle growing electric vehicle battery logistics and tightening EU parts regulations.

THE EXPANDED operation, split between Reims and Boisseaux near Orléans, has grown from managing hazardous spare parts into a broader remit covering several thousand spare-part SKUs and electric vehicle battery logistics within a highly regulated environment. The growth reflects stricter European rules on repairability, traceability, safety and parts availability as the automotive sector shifts toward electric vehicles.
Laurent Kraffmuller, vice president, dedicated supply chain – mainland Europe at XPO Logistics, said the company’s role was no longer simply managing logistics flows but helping clients adapt quickly to new industrial and regulatory constraints, calling the rapid capacity increase evidence of its agility and operational reliability.
