Aldi opens new Northern DC
The new facility in Bolton encompasses 611,250 sq ft of warehousing and offices and replaces a smaller site in Middleton.
550 employees have made the move to the new centre, with Aldi expected to make around 100 new hires.
The Bolton DC features a floor dedicated to the Academy, Aldi’s recruitment and training department.
Aldi said the Middleton DC played a key role in the growth of the company, but the fast growth rate meant a move to a bigger and better logistics facility was necessary.
