Apprenticeship scheme
In the run up to National Apprenticeship Week 2014, Norbert Dentressangle announced that it is launching a national apprenticeship scheme which aims to recruit up to 300 young people throughout the UK by the end of April.
Around 40 Norbert Dentressangle sites throughout the UK are taking part in the scheme, offering young people a range of operationally-based apprenticeships including storage and warehousing, transport and distribution and engineering, along with a number of positions in administration and supporting functions such as recruitment.
As an alternative to traditional classroom-based learning, the government-backed Apprenticeships scheme combines formal training with valuable hands-on workplace experience for young people. As well as earning a wage, apprentices work towards an NVQ Level 2 qualification, while also gaining valuable experience in the world of work.
