AR Racking begins work on JYSK’s major logistics hub in Spain
The 274,000 sq m logistics centre is expected to be commissioned in 2027/28.

AR Racking has begun its participation in the construction of JYSK’s new distribution centre in Almenara, Castellón, one of the major logistics projects currently under development in Europe.
AR Racking began work in early April on the two clad-rack warehouses, which are currently in the anchoring phase.
The company was selected as the supplier of the storage systems for this strategic site, which is set to strengthen JYSK’s logistics capacity in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. The project forms part of the Danish company’s expansion plan and will provide a key boost to its growth in Southern Europe and North Africa.
AR Racking will be responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of a customised storage solution based on two high-bay clad-rack warehouses with capacity for 182,500 pallet positions, managed by 20 stacker cranes. Following this initial anchoring phase, construction will progress from the summer with the assembly of the structure, one of the most significant stages of the project.
The new logistics centre, located on a 274,000 m² site, will also include JYSK’s new head offices for Spain and Portugal. Its commissioning is scheduled for 2027/2028 and it will create employment for approximately 250 people.
With the start of this project, AR Racking consolidates its role as a strategic partner in large-scale automated logistics projects, providing engineering, industrial capacity and storage solutions designed to support the growth of leading companies internationally.
