Bathroom fittings firm uses WMS to boost processes

VADO has invested in TouchWMS to drive warehouse process improvement in support of a five year company growth strategy.

TouchPath is to implement its ‘TouchWMS’ warehouse management system for VADO, which exports to 60 countries and is a £271m turnover company.

VADO manages four warehouses in Somerset totalling 651,186 sq ft and despatches in excess of 30,000 units per week. TouchWMS will be integrated with VADO’s existing Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system and will manage all warehouse processes including production picking and reporting.

Quality & operations director Rachel Kirk says: “The new WMS is central to the company’s programme of warehouse process improvement that supports our five-year strategy for growth. The new system will allow us to improve accuracy, record movements in real-time and increase our ability to report on and manage our operations function. We looked at a number of options before deciding that TouchWMS has the functionality to meet our needs, both now and in the future. TouchPath seem to understand our business well and are keen to provide the practical solutions we need.”

VADO markets and distributes over 4,000 bathroom products to more than 1,300 UK retailers and nearly 200 architects, designers and other hotel and housing specifiers in the UK, and to over 60 countries worldwide.

TouchPath uses smart, flexible modules that can be bolted together in almost any combination to deliver a customised solution at an off-the-shelf price. TouchPath is installing TouchWMS at VADO with implementation partner Patchworks.
