Celebrating 75 years of Alwayse ball transfer units at IMHX

As the original pioneer of the ball transfer unit since the 1940s, Alwayse Engineering is celebrating 75 years of innovation and development of this versatile product.

Manufacturing the world's largest range, ball transfer units from Alwayse are used in materials handling across a diverse range of industries and applications. From assembly lines and machine tables to subsea and space, Alwayse is constantly pushing boundaries and discovering new and exciting ways that ball transfer units can be used.

Jon Brough, Head of Sales at Alwayse, commented ‘our reputation as innovators in the industry is the result of over 75 years of R&D. This ongoing commitment to product development has been made possible through constant dialogue with customers and gaining a deeper understanding of their requirements.’

Alwayse grew from originally manufacturing castors to developing ball transfer units – so our expertise in castors and wheels helps us provide an unrivalled and all-encompassing service to identify the correct solutions.

In conjunction with our 75 year celebration, we are pleased to announce the launch of the world’s first 8 tonne capacity ball transfer unit at the IMHX exhibition this September. As the latest boundary-pushing product from Alwayse, our new unit has the highest load capacity on the market and is suitable for the most demanding of applications.
