Cleanroom doors in key food ingredients deal
Hart Door Systems has completed the installation of a major contract comprising Speedor Cleanrooms, Speedor Storms and a Firebrand fire shutter for a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of flavourings, extracts and essences.
Gordon Kipling, Hart’s senior sales executive, says the contract was driven by odour abatement as a result of a number of complaints from local residents about odours emanating from the plant.
Gordon says: “As a food additives’ company that produced concentrated additives and flavourings there was concern over emissions. Its wish to be a good neighbour, coupled with a threatened odour abatement order, has driven them to improve containment and filtration.
“Hart was included as part of the design process. We recommended Speedor Cleanrooms and Speedor Storms to compartmentalise the building thus aiding the new air handling and extraction systems.”
