Designed for heavy and awkward lifts

Non-conventional containers from CakeBoxx Technologies have allowed a transport company to more easily move long and heavy loads that are unsuitable for conventional containers.

The CakeBoxx 53’ WTP BreakBulkBoxx container and the 53’ WTP CakeBoxx Flat Rack are being used by transport firm ATS International, who have partnered with TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico to offer a ‘game changing equipment innovation for shipping non-containerised cargo’.

This equipment allows traditionally non-containerised cargo to be accommodated in a Lift-On/Lift-Off (Lo/Lo) container environment. Using the two products will give non-containerised shippers and consignees a 3-day transit option designed for in-gauge break bulk cargo. In addition to the faster transit times, companies that primarily ship side loading freight will reap the benefits of increased security with the CakeBoxx high-security two-piece ‘deck and lid’ design.

The new 53’ WTP products will be available exclusively through ATS International and TOTE Maritime with this new strategic partnership.
