Doosan invests in UK operations
The manufacturer has secured and refurbished two additional properties that are now home to workshops for both new Doosan trucks and the local depot for Rushlift’s Midlands area.
The facilities are designed to provide a safe, more modern and clean environment for the service technicians who are preparing new Doosan trucks and repairing and refurbishing some of Rushlift’s short term rental fleet and used machines.
The additional space allows Doosan to hold over 100 new trucks, which can be made ready and available for very quick deliveries.
A new showroom area is being created which will enable customers to view the range of counterbalance and warehouse equipment and the huge range of options such as cabins, safety equipment and fleet management systems Doosan offers.
Doosan World, the UK’s parts distribution centre, has increased its capacity by 50% allowing the manufacturer to carry in excess of £1million worth of stock for next day deliveries, including forks, lubricants and LED lights.
Space is also being utilised as a centre of excellence for engineer training, a purpose built classroom and two workshop areas to carry out hands-on training for new and existing engineers.
Doosan has created 25 jobs with the works.
