Double-deck fleet support
Provider of frozen meals to hospitals, care homes and local authorities, apetito has added an additional double-deck temperature controlled trailer from Buffaload Logistics to its vehicle fleet.
To cope with the recent Christmas peak business requirement, apetito took delivery of a double-deck trailer from Buffaload on a rental basis which made a significant contribution to enabling best- ever service levels over the festive period by accommodating the increased capacity requirement and reducing demand on the heavily utilised existing fleet.
“By optimising vehicle utilisation and reducing mileage and fuel usage we have the added benefit of keeping Co2 emissions down, as part of our commitment to improving environmental conditions,” says Daniel Paull, distribution manager.
