DSV opens up more routes to and from Poland
DSV, the world’s fifth largest freight service provider, has announced it is broadening its services to and from Poland. With the addition of Gdansk and Poznan on top of the existing routes from the company’s terminals in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Łódź, DSV now offers direct services covering all the industrial areas of Poland.
DSV has been operating in Poland since 1995. Following the acquisition of Frans Maas in 2006 and merge with ABX in 2008, DSV has grown into one of the region’s leading logistics services providers.
The global logistics giant believes that UK trade with Poland will continue to grow and by providing a fast and reliable groupage and part load service from these areas, it can offer both new and existing customers a service between Poland and the UK that is ‘second to none’.
Piotr W. Krawiecki, CEO of DSV Poland Road Division, explained the rational for the expansion: “We’re experiencing growing demand for high quality groupage services from our customers. By opening up new routes to and from Poland DSV will be able to meet those demands and deliver fast and reliable groupage and part load service to accommodate our client’s high requirements.”
Michael Morberg Madsen, Divisional General Manager for the Eastern Europe region at DSV Road Ltd in the UK went on to comment: “Over the past few years, DSV has experienced growth in our trade lines from Poland, especially with products like windows, doors, furniture, machinery, car parts, packaging materials and food products. When speaking to both UK and Polish based customers, including small and medium sized manufacturers, as well as large retailers and blue chip companies, we’ve established that there is demand for direct departures to and from Poland to speed up delivery time. Alongside the fact that Poland has one of the fastest growing economies in the EU, DSV feels that the expansion of our already extensive services from this region is a timely, tactical investment.”
DSV UK and DSV Poland are both equally involved in the creation and delivery of the new services. Both teams are focused on providing reliable delivery and great customer service, in line with the global brand’s reputation.
Both regional teams claim they are focusing on the requirements of the customer and adding value to their business as well as making their transport experience easier, to ensure the customer will continue to trust DSV with their goods and have a greater loyalty towards the brand.
Madsen explained: “Along with our colleagues in Poland, we’re all working towards the same goal of great service and reliable delivery. This joined up approach helps to create ownership and heightened responsibility for each shipment, whether the customer is based in Poland or the UK.
“With many other transport companies working with partners instead of their own offices, the customer does not always get the same attention. We believe that our strong network and close cooperation with our Polish colleagues differentiates us from our competitors. We know our DSV colleagues work with the same principles and values as us and we believe this shared ethos is helping to provide the service levels our customers want and expect.”
To celebrate the launch of these new services, DSV is offering Goody Bags for all new customers using our new routes to and from Poland between 29 July and 31 August 2015. To find out more please email contact@uk.dsv.com.
