Fashion retailer deploys 1,500 warehouse robots
A leading European fashion retailer is rolling out more than 1,500 rack-climbing robots from Hai Robotics at a new e-commerce fulfilment centre, in what the automation specialist says is the world’s largest deployment of its kind.

THE RETAILER, which already runs multiple HaiPick systems across Europe, is expanding its partnership with Hai Robotics to support rapidly growing online order volumes through a scalable goods-to-person operation. The 30,000m² facility will use HaiPick Climb double-deep systems to provide 1.2 million storage locations and throughput exceeding 24,000 totes per hour.
Peter Guan, general manager at Hai Robotics EMEA, said the project reflected the continued shift toward highly scalable robotic automation in large-scale fulfilment operations, and the confidence customers place in the technology for their most strategic warehouse automation projects.
The deployment is designed to let the retailer maximise storage capacity while maintaining the throughput needed for high-volume omnichannel fulfilment, and underlines the growing role of high-density robotic storage in large-scale online retail operations.
