Fire prevention webinar set for May 20
Over the last few years we’ve seen serious warehouse fires – ASOS, Barnsley in 2014; ArrowXL, Worcester in 2017 and Ocado, Andover in 2019 – to name but a few.
This makes fire prevention a key issue.
The Protecting large premises from fire webinar takes place at 10.30am on May 20 and looks at fire prevention using optical beam detection.
It is organised by Fire Safety Matters and sign-up for the online webinar is free here.
In this webinar, we will share how using optical beam detection can save money and reduce false alarms in locations with high ceilings where point detectors would be difficult to install and maintain.
We will cover the pros and cons of different optical beam technologies and the benefits of installing a low-level controller.
This webinar will explain the key benefits of protecting large premises with optical beam detection. These premises can include warehouses, factories, or buildings with high ceilings.
Optical beam detection is a device that uses a projected beam of light to detect smoke across large areas, typically as an indicator of fire. They are used to detect fires in buildings where standard point smoke detectors would either be uneconomical or restricted for use by the height of the building.
