Hart active at Acton
Hart Door Systems has completed the installation of seven insulated roller shutters at London Underground’s Acton Works maintenance facility in west London.
Kyle Pendergood at Hart Doors says the contract included the installation of a three tonnes shutter which was 11.8m wide and 4.4m high.
“Its weight alone was significant as was the width,” says Kyle. “We had a detailed lifting plan to make this work. The Hart team again rose to the challenge.”
Hart is familiar with Acton site having installed three of its Speedor Storm doors last autumn. The ‘Storm’ door is a high-speed door capable of withstanding winds up to 90 mph when closed and is designed for frequent use in high traffic situations.
