Hart completes Dundee Energy From Waste contract
Hart Door Systems (Hart Doors), working through Southern Industrial Roofing, has completed a contract to supply seven insulated shutters and one high-speed Speedor Storm at the Dundee and Angus Energy from Waste facility at Baldovie, north east of Dundee.
Gordon Kipling, Hart Doors’ senior sales executive, says the range of doors manufactured by Hart makes it a natural choice for Energy from Waste plants given the challenges faced such as corrosion, odours, infestation and so on. “Each challenge requires a solution and Hart delivers,” says Mr Kipling.
“We are very active in this sector at home and abroad. The Baldovie development is a new build with some technical challenges which we surmounted by working with the design consultants throughout.”
The Baldovie facility will use around 110,000 tonnes of residual waste per year to generate electricity.
