High speed hooding
Available through Gordian Strapping, Italian manufacturerOMS S.p.A. has launched a new, high-speed stretch hooding machine – the IS45.
The machine uses a system whereby as one hood is being applied, the next one is being produced and opened, enabling hooding of up to 250 pallets/hr.
The IS45 has mechanical fingers which open each and every bag, so regardless of static build up no bags are wasted. Motorised air mandrels hold the film reel core tightly and prevent damage. The cores can therefore be returned to the film supplier to be re-used, thereby reducing packaging waste.
