LUSH signs new 3PL deal for UK and Ireland

CEVA Logistics has been awarded the three-year deal to manage and deliver LUSH products to its stores.

Dan Payne, LUSH's logistics manager, adds: “CEVA really stood out during the tender process with their dedication and hard work to deliver precisely what we need across our distribution network. We are delighted to be working with them.”

CEVA will be responsible for moving the full range of items sold by LUSH, which is an ethically responsible cosmetics producer.

CEVA will make daily collections from LUSH's UK distribution centre at Poole. Collected merchandise will be taken into CEVA's overnight distribution network for delivery throughout the night to LUSH's store network in the UK and Ireland.

Double deck trailers will be used for trunking, which will significantly reduce distance travelled and vehicles on roads. Additionally, the CEVA vehicle fleet is fitted with telematics, which will provide data and insight to influence driver behaviour and reduce fuel consumption.

CEVA's shared user network will be utilised to perform final mile delivery to almost 80 stores and ensure full visibility of all products as they are moved.

This will involve decanting at night through unassisted deliveries to ensure minimal disruption to daytime activities. By using the CEVA Track app, LUSH store managers will receive up to date/real-time delivery information on their individual orders.
