Material & cost savings
For optimal cargo securing, packaging film manufacturer Duo Plast has developed DDK stretch film, which features a double edge (for example a 15 micron stretch film has a thickness of 30 micron at the edges).
The innovative double edge surrounds the pallet like a net and makes it very stable, while also realising material savings. In fact, according the the company, a reduction of material consumption of more than 30-35% is not uncommon when using the DDK-film.
A further innovation of Duo Plast is its business segment, Duo Lab. The German Technology Centre for Load Unit & Cargo Security checks, develops and audits load security concepts for dispatchers, logistics companies and institutions.
