New fleet puchase
Independent logistics services provider, Meachers Global Logistics is purchasing seven new tractor units and 24 new trailers. The major investment by the Southampton based business, will provide significantly increased capacity to supply its growing operation.
Meachers Global Logistics has taken delivery of four Mercedes Actros 2546 LS 6×2 Euro5 and two Volvo FH400 6×2 Euro5 tractor units. A further Volvo tractor and Mercedes Sprinter van will be added to the fleet in January.
The 24 new trailers comprise 20 Lawrence David 14.6m curtain sided tri-axle trailers and fiur Lawrence David tri-axle skeletal trailers
The purchase follows Meachers Global Logistics recently announcing two high profile contracts with Lionvest the UK’s largest importer of wooden flooring and Huhtamaki, the world’s largest packaging company.
