Rider pallet trucks updated
Linde Material Handling has launched an improved version of its rider pallet truck models T20SP and T25SP.
These updated models, first showcased at Linde’s World of Material Handling exhibition, incorporate a strengthened chassis to allow a 2500kg rated capacity model to replace the previous 2400kg machine. There is an improved left hand grip for additional operator comfort and security as well as a range of new optional equipment.
Trucks such as the T20SP and T25SP are designed to offer fast, long distance pallet transfers and highly efficient loading and off-loading of road trailers. The E-driver electric steering control allows a 45 degree operating position to reduce upper body strain both when entering and exiting road trailers. The load sensing braking and automatic speed reduction in turns enhances safety on crowded loading docks whilst the trucks are equipped with an active castor wheel system which automatically adjusts castor wheel pressure to maintain a constant load on the drive wheel for optimum grip in all conditions.
Amongst the new options available for this range of trucks is a fully suspended platform and steering control module to increase operator comfort in intensive applications where trucks are constantly travelling at speed over dock levellers loading/off-loading lorries. A new LED light gives necessary illumination when handling loads in 40ft trailers. Increased 12 km/h traction speed provides additional performance for pallet transfers in large warehouses whilst a new symmetrical steering control makes it easier for operators to use both hands to steer the truck when entering a pallet.
David Bowen, product manager – warehouse products at Linde Material Handling (UK), said: “We are pleased to reveal these new features especially the fully suspended stand-on platform and steering control module. This new feature has led to a 30% reduction in Whole Body Vibration for the operator increasing comfort and safety.”
