Site security enhanced
Partnering with Lysander, FBS Hörmann has supplied and fitted high security access gates and automatic car park barriers at a new warehousing facility in Kettering.
TWO HIGH security, heavy duty FBS5800 Automatic Cantilever gates have been installed to secure the entrance and exit of the transport yard. Measuring 7800mm x 2400mm and 6000mm x 2400mm respectively, the gates are manufactured from high strength steel. A ground track is not required making them particularly suited for areas of consistent heavy traffic movement.
FBS Hörmann undertook all the civil works required to install the foundation padstones onto which the gates were fixed and due to rising ground levels on the site a channel was created into which the gates run as they open. To protect the area around the opening gate, security fencing was installed to comply with current legislation and Armco barriers were also installed to provide an additional level of protection.
Work to the employee car park included the installation of two FBS3850 Heavy Duty Automatic Barriers with access control via an Intercom system. The barriers are fitted with a bottom skirt, LED boom lights and integrated Pogo tip support in the skirt. 12 high visibility stainless steel bollards have also been installed and positioned to create a one-way system.
FBS Hörmann also supplied and installed 31 large stone boulders around the perimeter of the car park to provide an aesthetically pleasing, yet effective method of perimeter protection to comply with planning conditions.
Working closely with Lysander, Hörmann provided a comprehensive turnkey solution, managing every stage of the project from initial consultation and site surveying to product specification, installation, and final sign-off.
