Stertil Dock Products UK has launched the Varifleet telescopic dock leveller.

THE PRODUCT is designed to meet the growing demand for cross-docking in modern distribution and warehouse logistics. It can accommodate a range of vehicle types from parcel vans to heavy commercial trucks.

As home deliveries and e-commerce continue to reshape the logistics landscape, distribution centres must cater to increasingly diverse vehicle fleets.

At the heart of the Varifleet is the self-adjusting Stertil hydraulic system with built-in weight compensation, allowing for seamless adjustment between different vehicle types. During the loading process the system detects the pressure on the leveller platform and adjusts the downward forces – up to 150kg. This enhances safety and helps prevent damage to vehicles and handling equipment, particularly when dealing with the lighter suspensions of parcel vans.

Unlike traditional dock levellers, the Varifleet features a unique three-section telescopic lip. When used with large commercial vehicles, the lip extends to a full width of 2,000 mm. For smaller vehicles, the mid-section extends to a narrower 1,250 mm, while the side segments deploy only as needed to bridge any remaining gaps. This design ensures the lip always matches the vehicle floor, reducing risks and increasing efficiency during loading and unloading operations.

Built from high-tensile steel with a galvanised frame and anti-corrosion coatings, the Varifleet has been tested beyond 40,000 cycles and meets the EN 1398:2009 standard for dock leveller safety requirements.
