The Range and DHL Supply Chain make huge DC investment
The Range and DHL Supply Chain open a £100 million distribution centre in Avonmouth, Bristol, creating 1,000 jobs.
The hub has a footprint of 1.2m sq ft, while The Range is one of the fastest growing homeware retailers in the UK, with 140 stores around the UK, and 30 further stores scheduled to open in 2017.
The hub will support on-going store growth and the expansion of The Range’s multi-channel operations, supplementing an eCommerce distribution centre in the Midlands, also managed by DHL.
The DC has ’sniffer systems’ to detect gas, in a bid to enhance health and safety on the site.
