Warehouse design project

When Hellermann Tyton outgrew its existing warehouse, itbrought in Davies & Robson to help develop plans for a new design and build facility to meet the future needs of the business. Davies & Robson undertook detailed process mapping, activity and stock analysis as well as a review of the base functionality of the warehouse systems.

Recommendations included the introduction of multi-level picking using innovative in-rack flooring to ensure there are enough pick faces readily available to meet current and planned requirements and ’clear zones’ for reserve, fast, medium and slow moving items to support an efficient routing and minimal travel for order pickers.
