Blue-chip US companies are now buying innovative British materials handling trucks, according to Weston Handling Consultancy, and the company is looking for distributors and dealers.
The USA represents a growing market for Weston Trucks: its customer list includes major names such as 3M, American Packaging, Borg Warner, General Mills, Mondi Packaging, Ricoh, TATA Group, Sonoco & Yale Materials Handling, to name a few.
The US packaging industry has a turnover of $128billion, 60% of which relates to food packaging made principally of paper or plastic film. The printing industry generates Ca. $560billion of turnover.
Weston Trucks are designed for purpose. With patents applied for designs, the company says that they are not just standard pedestrian (walkie) stackers with attachments.
Weston products are also described as having the added value of being targeted to particular tasks, typically overcoming a health and safety risk or production bottlenecks and frequently, both.
