THE REAL estate consultancy notes that there has been eight separate lettings of units over 300,000 ft2 – more than in any quarter in the last three years. This has resulted in a fall in the number of units of 300,000 ft2 to 400,000 ft2 of 35% , leaving just 15 new or speculatively built units of this size in the UK.
The report notes that take up in units over 100,00 ft2 is up 28% quarter on quarter and 9% year on year with vacancy neither increasing or decreasing.
DTRE said: “Growing demand and inelastic supply – the two key ingredients for strengthening market conditions and rental growth. The signals are there, but we’ll only know for sure in few couple of quarters when vacancy rates start trending downwards.”
Deals include Indurent’s letting of Omega 420 to Regency Glass which Logistics Matters reported on exclusively in September.
