Bluebird, a TSC Auto ID company, has launched the world’s first enterprise-grade handheld computer with AMOLED display.

BLUEBIRD HAS redefined enterprise mobility with its award-winning, next-generation X40 handheld computer. Built specifically for challenging frontlines in retail, logistics, hospitality, healthcare and field service, the new mobile device beautifully demonstrates how elegant design can coexist with industrial strength.

“The new X40 is a pocket powerhouse,” claims Jinoh Kim, Bluebird’s CEO. “It’s sleek and ultra-fast. It’s RFID-enabled, and its AMOLED display – a world-first in enterprise-grade computers – delivers vivid colour and superior visibility under any lighting conditions, as well as consuming less power. It also won a much-coveted Red Dot Design award this summer for its technologically mature and contemporary aesthetics. It was described by the judges as an ‘impressively efficient tool for retail and logistics’.”

The X40’s power, strengthened by Impinj Gen X, is designed to elevate frontline productivity in places like busy retail aisles and warehouse floors.

Weighing just 199g, the X40 is lightweight in mass only. With its rugged cover, it can withstand drops of up to five feet (1.5m) and can remain operational in challenging temperatures ranging from -20°C to 50°C.

“The X40 sets new standards in industrial design, as recognised by its Red Dot accolade’, says Jinoh. “It delivers a smartphone-like experience without sacrificing the enterprise-grade security, reliability and longevity necessary in demanding environments such as retail, logistics and field work. Workers today expect the same intuitive, elegant design in their professional tools as they have in their personal devices and they have it in the X40 as well as uncompromising industrial performance.”
