Dough hopper handling
Weston Handling Consultancy’s latest reel handling project covers the design and manufacture of special purpose trucks for lifting and turning bulk dough hoppers at a leading pastry manufacturer.
Dough hoppers frequently have to be taken out of service for scrupulous cleaning inside and out. Previously, around six people had to manhandle then from their location, onto a pallet for transportation to the cleaning area.
The Weston Dough Hopper Lifter-Turner eliminates all manual handling and transportation. It is fitted with bespoke, rotating lifting arms, mounted onto a fully powered Weston GPL/E1000 pedestrian stacker truck.
