Saving Christmas

As soon as the contract was signed in October with its newest and largest customer, Joloda Conveyor services were put to the test on the busiest period of the year.

From November up to Christmas Eve, engineers worked through the night to ensure parcels were moving in all of its largest DCs. This online retailer achieved a substantial throughput of 191m parcels delivered in time for Christmas. This figure is up an average of 1m parcels across each of the 42 UK sites from last year's results. In the customer's words "Joloda Saved Christmas."

This record result was down to planning of servicing and repair of all sites and key equipment before this critical period. Then the provision of a resident engineer on each site to resolve any breakdown issues instantaneously. Each engineer also had the responsibility of up to 2-3 other key sites nearby on a 1 hour response.

Joloda Conveyor Services has over 40 engineers nationwide providing a maintenance and breakdown service with real time updates. The company can attend to any piece of warehouse automation equipment.
