Skate & track system
Manufacturer of fluid sealing products, James Walker, is benefiting from a Joloda skate and track system normally used for truck loading of pallets.
The skate and track system was installed for the movement moulds from warming ovens to large presses. The moulds can weigh up to 160kg and have a circumference of 1m and can vary in height up to 1.5m.
Previously, standard lifting equipment was used to move the moulds, but this presented safety problems when moving the moulds in and out of the oven, putting the employees at increased risk of injury.
