Terminal tractors

When Irish Ferries introduced a new MV Epsilon ferry used its Dublin/Holyhead and Dublin/Cherbourg route, there was also an additional requirement to replace out-of-date older equipment used at the ports.

The ferry company approached container handling equipment supplier Kalmar to help meet its requirements. The solution came in the form of four new TR618i terminal tractors, which offer robust reliability and performance when moving heavy loads in harsh port conditions.

According to John Heffernan, ferry manager at Irish Ferries, “The new TR618i fleet has improved machine availability, drivers’ comfort levels and helped reduce maintenance costs.”
